  5. This is a plugin image filter for LightWave 5.0  It implments a Depth Of
  6. Focus filter effect by using NULL objects to set the focus area and then
  7. bluring area's outside of that focus area. 
  8.  
  9. Copy the correct version(x86 is for Intel, alpha is for Dec Alpha
  10. platforms) to your plugins directory. Then you need to add it to
  11. Layout using the "Add Plug-ins" button on the Options panel.  This
  12. will add a new image filter called
  13.  
  14. DOF_Blur

  16. To the Effects->Image Processing_Image Filter Plug-ins panel.
  17.  
  18. With it you pick a near and a far object for the focus.
  19.  
  20. Objects before the near are blured, objects after the far are blured.  
  21.  
  22. If you don't pick an object that field won't be used.  
  23.  
  24. The Depth of focus area is the amount of ramp up or down before
  25. reaching the full level of blur you specify.
  26.  
  27. The amount of blur is really the size of the convolution.
